 | The front façade of the Safford House (1858) demonstrates its bow-fronted Italianate design detailed with carved brownstone. The building is attributed to architect Charles Alexander, who designed J. B. Brown’s house “Bramhall,” now demolished, as well as the Chestnut Street Church and the twin Spring mansions on Danforth Street. |
