The Center for Architecture and Preservation campaign.
Greater Portland Landmarks has begun a capital campaign for the Center for Architecture and Preservation. The fundraising goal is to purchase and complete the first phase restoration of the building at 93 High Street and establish an endowment for programs and maintenance. As of January, 2010, GPL has raised $1.9 million in gifts and pledges, and continues to approach individuals, businesses, and foundations for support.
Developing the Center for Architecture and Preservation is a transformative opportunity for GPL, one that will allow us to engage the public in preserving our historic architecture, encouraging the best in new design, and enhancing Portland’s distinctive sense of place.
