Realtor Education ProgramUnderstanding Historic Buildings and Historic Districts This three-hour program features a detailed walking tour of Portland's West End neighborhood followed by a presentation on architectural styles and information about Portland's historic district ordinance. Includes an orientation about how to research a local property in Greater Portland Landmarks' research library. Learn about Portland's rich and varied architecture and impress your clients with your expert knowledge! Tom Caron of Northeast Home Inspection Services leads the walking tour; GPL staff provides the library presentation. Complimentary coffee and snacks included. This fun and informative course is certified by the Maine Real Estate Commission and is worth three hours of continuing education credit (CE hours). Please call for the next class date. In general, classes will be held every other Thursday from 10am-1pm, weather permitting. $30 per person, limit 12 students per class.
