Personalized preservation services.

The Field Services Program was launched in July 2009, supported by generous grant funding from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Jane’s Trust of Boston, and the Maine Community Foundation.

Greater Portland Landmarks has partnered with Maine Preservation and the National Trust to provide assistance to neighborhood groups, local governments, and building owners, both commercial and residential, to help answer questions related to preservation planning, the new state historic preservation tax credits, energy efficiency issues, and historic and new design concerns. Read the articles in the fall and winter, 2009 issues of the Landmarks Observer to learn more about the program.

Please email Christopher W. Closs, GPL and Maine Preservation’s shared Field Representative for more information. Chris is taking appointments in the greater Portland area (Portland and its six surrounding communities) and can help with your preservation questions and concerns. You can reach Chris by phone as well at 207-774-5561 ext. 118.
