The mission of Greater Portland Landmarks is to ensure that Greater Portland preserves its sense of place for all and builds vibrant, sustainable neighborhoods and communities for the future. The organization gives two types of awards in recognition of other groups, individuals, and businesses whose efforts epitomize that mission.

Preservation Awards are given to projects in which a historic property or landscape has been restored, rehabilitated, undergone sensitive new construction, provided stewardship, or adapted to a modern use.

Legacy Business Awards are given to businesses that are active contributors to our community and with time have come to symbolize greater Portland.
