The goal of Preservation Pages is to bring people together to discuss books that relate to themes of preservation: place, design, urban planning, and other topics that we at Greater Portland Landmarks think about every single day. Each gathering will be in the greater Portland area in a site that shares some connection with the content of the book for a local context. The club is free to join and there’s no commitment, just come to the ones you’re interested in!
This month we’ll be reading and discussing This Land Was Saved for You and Me by Jeffry Ryan. We’ll be meeting in the gazebo at Fort Allen Park to discuss the early campaign to protect America’s public lands. The author will be joining us for the conversation so come out for a great talk! Rain location will be Oxbow Blending & Bottling, 49 Washington Ave. Please check Instagram for location updates if the weather looks bad.
