Join Greater Portland Landmarks, Maine Historic Preservation Commission and The Genesis Fund for a workshop designed for anyone who is new to historic tax credits, or who wants a refresher. We encourage property owners, developers, real estate professionals, municipal officials, consultants, investors, attorneys, and anyone focused on economic and community revitalization to attend. The workshop is being offered both in person and via zoom.
Income-producing properties listed in the National Register of Historic Places are eligible to receive a tax credit for as much as 45% of qualified rehabilitation expenses through state and federal incentive programs. With the Munjoy Hill Historic District nationally certified, there are even more opportunities to use these incentives.
We’ll also be discussing proposed legislation that would expand the existing small deal state credit and expand the program for private homeowners!
